The framework of events at our villas - rules and obligations

Villas are rented under certain rules and a strict framework, please read below:

It is mandatory to rent the villa a certain amount of time, depending on the season, from 3-7 days, to also have the reception/event you envision

Villas are rented first as accommodation and then as an event venue, with a per head charge for the days of setup, reception and take down. So there are two separate fees associated: one for for the accommodation of the wedding party with a 3-7 day minimum and one for the use of the venue, depending on your number of guests.

Hence, if you are just seeking a venue for one night for your event, a wedding at one of our villas is neither an option or a budget solution as many envision it; it is for those seeking a private, once-in-a-lifetime, bespoke, private experience. The idea is to come, stay, have your wedding and honeymoon at the villa, enjoy and appreciate the luxury it offers in a span of time.

Many couples think that renting the villa allows them to also have the event for free. That is an erroneous assumption as the rental concerns contractually only the accommodation to stay and not the use of the venue for the event, hence having such a party would be a breach of contract. The leasing of the space for the event constitutes a separate agreement altogether, simply the "space" is not leased without the accommodation

Most villas will accept only their own services and you have to work with them. This is to your benefit as these services know where and how to set up quickly and without damages, you would have to pay for, they have done it before. We collaborate for our villa weddings with a series of reliable professionals for support services like catering, flowers, photography, entertainment, etc. Note that many of our villas will not accept weddings in peak season, July and August, pls ask our Customer Service if the one (s) you chose do!

Villas follow seasonal pricing, so in July and August they are offered at their highest pricing. If you are budget restricted, you may consider having your event in May, June September or October, in most cases the weather is good. September is a favorite, so book early!

Also note, that all villas, except for the wedding night, are rented to the number of tenants that is contractually allowed to use them. External visitors may be allowed to come in other days and enjoy the premises (pools, garden, lounge) but there is an entrance fee associated like at any high-end hotel around the world.

An important  issue to be aware of with open-air, late-night, villa wedding dance parties is noise levels. If the villas you chose are located in or close to "no-tolerant" residential areas, noise has by Law to be controlled to a minimum (= whisper level) after 11 pm. Chances are you may have to comply or end up in Peoples' Court !

So you either have to choose a villa that is remote and detached or, to address the issue, in certain islands (eg Tinos, Kea, Syros, Santorini, etc) we offer the solution of having weddings at select beachfront venues (bars, restaurants) near the villas where you will be staying. Hence you may party, feet-in-the sand literally, until the dawn without the noise issues. Transfer may be arranged. Also we offer event, weddings or corporate, aboard small cruising vessels in Athens and select islands.

If you live abroad, we very strongly employing either our own or an appointed wedding planner, as organising a wedding yourself from far away can be very stressful and taxing, requiring daily a lot of your time and several trips to Greece.
