Prominent features are the high walls and the solid wooden entrance, built for privacy and safety against marauding pirates. Painted blue doors lead the guests into the private beautiful courtyard, with the stone built Jacuzzi, the comfortable sun beds and the built – in sofas, a real oasis of calm and tranquility in the hectic summer months.

Villa Kissos can be appreciated as an accurate example of the island’s unique architecture. It is hewn vertically into the volcanic soil. Built areas are roofed by domes, or groin vaults in a kind of mould - cast structure. It is made of Santorini black stone and Terra Theraic (Theraic earth) that has insulating qualities and has proven to be an early example of bio climatic architecture (keeping rock-hewn houses cool in the summer and warm in the winter).

Villa Kissos is a Feng-shui certified and Geomantic cleared property: We designed and accompanied under consideration of the aspects of Qi-Mag® Feng Shui, and the applied Geomancy on site, the renovation process of villa Ivy on the island Santorini.
