It is located only 290 meters from the sandy, shallow-water beach of Loutraki, which is perfect for swimming since it is a sheltered bay. The beach of Loutraki offers sun beds and umbrellas, a small café for simple lunches and a restaurant with authentic Cretan cuisine. Approximately 1.5 km north along the coast is the beautiful Marathi bay with three very nice beaches, several good restaurants and a beach-café with authentic Cretan cuisine.
